Trends- kill love.

Come let me tell you a tale,

Where hearts fail, and destiny prevail.

True story of two dear friends,

Who loved, but got entangled in changing trends.

They were love birds, ever since I knew them,

Caring for each-other whatever be the mayhem.

Walking to and off school, hand in hand,

Silently chatting in classroom, pen and paper being their friend.

Being with all, but lost in each others eyes at break,

Sharing coke, without noticing whatever faces we make.

Their apparent uncare of world, Leaves us enraged,

Call them afterschool, the phones were always engaged.

Slowly and silently the days went,

Then came trend of changing boyfriend, as if on rent.

And our pretty she-dove turned to new shore,

Leaving sweet, caring boy as a despo to core.

Boy lost all hope, all life,

His number of suicide attempts reached five.

We tried to stop him,

But he wanted to live in his whim.

I didn’t knew how to cheer our male dove,

And he resorted to stupid ways of expressing his love.

He would cut his veins for blood,

To write ten page letters, shining red as lava on flood.

We actually were worried,

Without any plans to be carried.

Suddenly the trends changed again,

And getting a sweet, caring boyfriend was in reign.

She dove came back fluttering and flapping,

Said sorry and that she was wrong in her doing.

But, Alas for the trends had shifted here too,

Getting a revenge on, traitor girlfriend was in hue.

Calmly our male dove showed his back,

Told her to stay away and right in her track.

Everyone thought it was right thing to do,

I only knew, they would pay for this too.

Such a love I had never seen since,

And both of them said, “Quits”, without even a wince!!!

I hate to tell what’s happening now,

But that’s how life is, you should know.

The girl gets married next week,

Forgetting, she ever loved a freak.

The boy does not care,

Says he is too busy in his fashion fair.

But I of all know the real situation,

Guy became model, yet single in condition.

Girl never made another boy-friend.

Her realization maybe, but this is how the story end.
